FLASHY SHOE PICTURE
  • Rapidly responding to inquiries from new clients is key to developing any new business relationship. This project, although quite simple in concept, was executed in only one day with keen attention to a design that was simple, effective and manufacturable.
  • Step 1 was the development of ARTIOS CAD cutting paths from a digital photo. This path was then cut in Fomecor on the Kongsberg cutting table.
  • Step 2 placed a holographic reflector film on back surface of the electronics panel of the final sandwich.
  • Step 3 shows the high output LED lights placed in position and tested.
  • Step 4 shows the clear PETG plastic film used to vacuum form the light bubble lenses that cover LEDs and replicate the look of the actual lights in the shoe sole. The sheet was actually vacuum formed with the Kongsberg cutting table vacuum and a heat gun.
  • Step 5 shows the plastic bubble lenses inserted behind Fomecor shoe cutout.
  • Step 6 shows the final full size Fomecor shoe with mounted HP inkjet output and actual creased pillowing effect that simulates the actual details of the shoe.
  • Step 7 shows the finished sign which can be ceiling hung or store fixture mounted.
